Hard to believe it has been almost 15 years since I have seen this film. The breakthrough film for the Pixar studio and reason for much of their success. I thought it would be nice to watch the first two again in HD before the 3rd on comes out for rental later this year.Tom Hanks as Woody and Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear make a great pairing. The comedy is witty and does a great job using double entendre's for the children and adult audiences. One of the best animated films of all time, well edited, and with a great cast.
So why 7/10? It just isn't Pixar's best to me. There are still some very sappy jokes and Mr. Potatohead really annoys me. The animation is still in development and it shows. Their quality increases with every film and is evident when you compare this with Finding Nemo 8 years later. Maybe I'm being harsh and don't make sense with best ever and just average, sorry.
