Death Race 2000 (1975)

I hate to say it, but I was greatly disappointed by this 70s action film that spawned so many films. Credited by some as the source of the joke of running people over for points. This film is a futuristic fantasy film were sports have been reduced to a cross country car race.

Directed by Paul Bartel and starring David Carradine and Sylvester Stallone [pre-Rocky]. Everything about this film I just found awful. The acting was atrocious, the action was pathetic, the music was dated, and the character and plot were a waste of time.

When people say that a movie is good... because it is bad, or that you need to be drunk to enjoy it it really means that it holds a nostalgic feeling for a generation that will not be understood by the next generation. It is the same way that I found Starship Troopers entertaining, and don't expect anyone in another generation to.
