The movie starts with Nikita, drugged up and following a gang around. They decide to rob one of the gang member's parents store, when the owner defends the store a shootout ensues. Nikita stays huddled in a corner until the police arrive, and she takes one of their lives while they try and assist her. Convicted of murder she is offered a chance to work for a secret government organization rather than start a life sentence. I felt the movie did a great job at showing the amount of work and effort it takes to change a person in this way.
After year of training she is sent on a mission, and the rest you have to watch yourself. A very worthy addition to the 101 Action films, and worth your time if you can handle subtitles. Speaking of which, the subtitles are actually really GOOD, bad subtitles can be distracting and frustrating, but this DVD did a great job. Check this one out.
