The lead actress Fernanda Montenegro is by no means a perfect character. She makes a lot of wrong decisions and the movie makes light the situation with the boys mom. The story is about her helping this boy find his father after they meet at the "Central Station" and the content is a little boring.
Winning over Festen is a major surprise to be because that German film is superior in many ways to this one. Glad to have it off my to watch list, it slowed me down this week...
