A film about a struggling music hall in Paris in the 1930's. Starring Gérard Jugnot, Nora Arnezeder, and Clovis Cornillac, this is just an average foreign film with a decent storyline.I didn't see this as a standout film, it was only nominated for a song, and the film borders on musical. It has several song and dance scenes but all on the stage, with the majority of the film being about the struggle of Gerard to find work, rebuild the music hall, and retain the talented Nora. The other half of the story is a tragic romance between Nora and Clovis characters.
There is nothing is really disliked about this one, but nothing that makes me want to watch it again or suggest it to others.
