Casino Jack and the United States of Money (2010)

Not to be confused with Casino Jack starring Kevin Spacey and nominated for a Golden Globe this month. This is actually a documentary from the same year the proceeds the release of the Bio Dramody. With the announcement of the Globe nominations I knew I would want to see the Spacey film, so I was prompted to go ahead and get this one over with.

This is a not-so playful look at the corrupt lobbyist Jack Abramoff who spend years alongside Tom DeLay paying off politicians and pocketing the rest. The fall guy for a lot of political corruption this film lacks in having a resolution to the blood boiling underhanded things it presents. It becomes numbing at some point and is an overload of information, which becomes quite boring. The thing I found the most interesting is the e-mail trail he left behind of his wrong doings. He really had no defense for all of the awful things he had to say.

I hope my mean comments about movies don't come back around some day. Hope I have thick enough skin if they do. Just average, not a bad film, but it didn't appeal to me as much as I had hoped.
