What Ever Happened To Baby Jane? (1962)

This horror film was reserved for after horror month when I couldn't get my project list for the month done. Because of its inclusion on the AFI 100 Thrills I knew I would watch it shortly anyways.

Nominated for five Oscars and winner of best costume design in a black and white film. This story of two sisters played by Bette Davis and Joan Crawford was almost hard to watch at times. An intense thriller were you just want to just jump in and save the sister but can't. It is frustrating that you as the viewer can't control the situation.

The story goes that Davis' character is a childhood star, her sister [Crwaford] makes it big in Hollywood when they grow up. She writes into her contract with the movie studio that they have to make a film starring her sister for each on starring her. Baby Jane can't act, and her jealousy finally makes her snap. The story then jumps forward to present day were Baby Jane torments her sister for all the pain she believes her cost her.

Creepy and intense, but nothing I want to see again. A just average rating, yet a pretty good film. I would suggest to people that like thrillers but hold reservations for anyone else to see.
