I'm not a big sequel fan, especially when it comes to animated films. Had Disney ever had a successful sequel before this one? All the princess film's sequels were just awful.So how did they do it? First off the creative team at Pixar is excellent at making a script out of nothing. You can't really say it has anything to do with the voice work even if it does draw a small crowd it doesn't make the film itself better.
The film does a great job of balancing action, adventure, kids themes, and subtle adult jokes. I really just watched it again to remind myself what the storyline was going into the 3rd film that is now out in theaters.
I don't have a lot to say about this film. It was good but not great. It might be just average, but you still have to see it.
