Hands on a Hard Body (1997)

Another sports documentary watched as part of the ESPN "The Watchlist." This one is about a contest started in Longview, TX by a automobile dealership called "Hands on a Hard Body"

The idea is simple, stand with one hand on the car, no leaning, 5 minute breaks every hour, 15 minutes every 4 hours. The last person standing keeps the car.

A simple concept, and one a wide range of people felt they could excel at. Most people probably think, "Sure I could do that." The film is slow and talks to a previous winner quite a bit. Things get repetitive because there just isn't that much to talk about.

The winner makes it roughly 3 days straight and predicting who that will be and watching people fade away is kinda fun. This could have been a 20 minute show though. Considering it to be a feature length documentary makes it drag on... maybe that was the point... showing you just how boring this whole thing was.

Just ok.
