Let me start by saying that, personally, I strongly dislike movies that have you confused from start to finish. It is one thing to leave you clues and make the viewer put things together, but over complicating things is incredibly annoying to me.For example, I loved Heist and hated Ocean's Eleven. I wasn't even excited about watching this film until Julia Roberts was nominated for a Golden Globe... still not sure why exactly. Clive Owen is hit or miss (Sin City and Children of Men vs. crap like Shoot 'Em Up), and Paul Giamatti is excellent (see Sideways).
This was a fun spy movie at times, but it really felt like it was filmed in chunks, put together in chunks, and that the editor never sat down and watched it all the way through to see if his puzzle pieces ever quite came together. Just average..
