Unstoppable (2010)

Denzel Washington sure was on a hot streak with American Gangster and The Great Debaters. His last two however were not so good. The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3 was not very good, and The Book of Eli was actually bad.So I was pretty close to not even giving this one a chance given the poor pairing with Chris Pine, who I remember more for his bad movies like Smokin' Aces than his good movie, Star Trek. Oh yeah... he was Kirk.

The thing that made this movie was the editing. The film was a good length, not too short (90min) not to long (120min), but right in between at 98min. The action can frequently and the shots were well done. I've been a fan of Rosario Dawson, who I feel has an above average resume primarily in supporting roles. So the film was cast well also.

Loosely based on true events, and nominated for an Oscar. I give this one thumb up if you are looking for a good action flick.
