Part two of the Apu Trilogy written and directed by Satyajit Ray, the most famous Indian Director of all time. Apu is now 10 years old and his family moves to Benares for his father to find work.
The middle film of the trilogy connects the two higher rated film. Much like the first it is filled with tragedy, which to me starts to get old by the 2nd half. We travel through Apu's adolescents and the film basically spans from him being 10 to his first several years of higher education.
It is very difficult to say much about this film without spoiling it and part 1 of the trilogy. It was just ok for me, the first one really moved me and this one just seemed like Déjà vu.
